Matthias
Schwarz has competed successfully for many years in Three Day
Eventing both in Germany and the United States. He was a member
of the German National Team, was long listed for the World Equestrian
Games and has competed to an international three star CCI level.
He currently competes his young horse prospect that he has brought
up to a FEI international two star CCI level.
Matthias holds an international trainer’s license in dressage,
jumping, eventing and in carriage driving. He has trained with
many of Europe's top competitors including the German gold medalist
in eventing, Bettina Hoy and Olympic judge 2004 Dr. Dieter Schuele.
For many generations in Bavaria Germany, the Schwarz Family
has been actively involved in the breeding and training of high
quality German horses and ponies in all the classic disciplines.
Matthias has worked with many breeds of horses and had focused
primarily on high performance disciplines. Now, after having
children of his own, he has found the importance of providing
that same solid quality training to family oriented horses.
In working the Fell Pony he discovered the breed to be suitable
for all types of riding from dressage and carriage driving to
family trail rides. Matthias believes the combination of high
level professional training and the mild mannered temperament
of the correctly bred Fell Pony produces one of the safest family
friendly ponies you can find.
